You will need a Midrange Resin printer or an FDM to print this model.
INNER DOWEL - VERY IMPORTANT If you choose to use an optional inner wooden dowel or steel rod, purchase that first! You will need circular stock approx. 540mm / 21 inch long and 1/4 inch or 6mm in diameter. The inner slot for this measures 6.5mm in diameter and should accommodate both metric or imperial options, but not all printers are calibrated equally. So buy your dowel first and print handle-1.stl which is the smallest part. Check the fitting. It may be necessary to scale the print up or down to match. To do this, amend the scale in your slicer to, for example, to 101% or 99%.
FDM
No supports are needed for the handle. Just print upright.
Personally I tilted the axe head sections at 30 degree and supported the back and underside. I found this worked well. I stuck with a standard .200 layer height with 15% infill.
RESIN Resin printers can print the handle sections without supports, though a midrange printer or larger is needed for the axe head. Just place the files flat of the plate. However, this may produce a "tidemark" on the finished prints. To avoid this you'll need to angle the prints and support as necessary.
