Vlna – Wave Pendant Lamp | E27
UPDATE! now also available in LE (lighter edition) reduces filament by 30%
Inspired by my fiance. I recreate her idea into this beautiful design.
The model consist of base, bottom fins, top fins and top cover. Bottom layer and top layer has to be printed 6 times. It is a lot of filament but trust me, it will pay off. The base is design for IKEA socket for E27 bulb. I prefer fuzzy skin mode, it will add the character to the lamp.
For printing it you need to split to the parts. Base and top cover is easy but for the fins it is needed to orient them verticaly with slide part on the top. I use a lot of brim to stabilize the print and also support should be turned on. I added also the project with already oriented all of the parts.

I used generic PET buildplate for all the prints and used the print profile from polyterra 🙂
if I understand correctly plate 3 is for the longer grooves and plate 2 is for the short? How did you fasten the E27 to the lamp base? I have to more prints until I can assemble the lamp, can't wait! looks lovely!
There is two levels of grooves, upper and lower. Plate two is lower level grooves and plate 3 is upper level grooves. Ikea Hemma does have a thread like mounting, so when the socket goes through the lamp base then from other side goes nut like piece.
It does not have to be IKEA socket, I found sockets like that with nut piece in my local hardware store.
Let me know how are you satisfied once the print is done and feel free to share your result here in the comments :)
FYI the fins print beautifully on the A1 without supports and brim, I just use 3djakes adheasy spray :)
Thank you for the info :) It will help others as well. I want to be sure that it will not fail :) Which plate did you use?
I like the filament colour. Is that Polyterra something?
Yes, it is polyterra peanut 🙂
