Designing this lamp was a challenge, but an exciting one! This is actually the second paper-inspired lamp I’ve created, and I’ve always been fascinated by the geometry of traditional paper lamps. While they can be quite expensive, 3D printing makes them much more accessible without compromising on aesthetics. One of the biggest hurdles was ensuring that the lamp shade, bulb holder, and legs could be printed as a single body. This was tricky, but I made it work so that you only need one six-hour print for the lamp and another quick 20-minute print for the legs! The result? A streamlined, elegant design that’s easy to assemble and prints beautifully.
