The mothman appears to be a large, winged humanoid with shared features from both owls and moths. While many simply discount the legend of the Mothman as a fairy tale meant to scare children, many others profess that this creature is an omen of a great tragedy yet to come, and that to see the Mothman is to see one's own impending doom.
