Communions are fanatics, reenactors of what the mythical First Ones lived during the great Communion, when the dual god Mashta mingled with their parishioners after the ritual of Angnamer. They do all kinds of things to their bodies, performing surgical and magical changes that make them feel closer to that moment where bodies and minds mixed and individuals, they say, transcended into a bigger, more perfect thing.
