Three pip capsules of varying sizes that utilizes planetary gears to operate.  These were printed on my X1-Carbon and Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro with 5% infill, 2 walls, and .2mm layer height.  I've added some updated versions of each capsule because there were some chamfers were missing from the originals.

Ah, yes. It's been a while since I released a storage contraption, so here is a super niche one, haha. 

I present to you a solution for the cards that didn't make the cut when you filled up Wallie. You were probably wondering where to put them, right? I've got you covered with Cold Card Storage! I burned quite a few hours in CAD for this one. 

It sports the following features: 

Included tabs to keep track of your cards Can be used as a generic storage box Can be turned into a watch display box (uses the magnetic watch carriers from my big watch display box). You will need longer bolts to connect the handle to the insert, and print the insert.

Notes for printing: Only the knob and the handle need support 

Filament used: Prusament PLA galaxy Black, Bambu PLA grey and Fiberlogy Copper Hardware needed: 

-Attach sides to shell: 12 pcs M4 hex bolt total length = 20-25mm 
-Attach deco knob to side: 1 pc M4 hex bolt = 20 mm 
-Attach Handle/ring thingy to side = M4 hex bolt = 15 mm (take 20-25mm if you want to use the watch holder inset)
-If using optional watch carrier, the 2 sides of the holder need some glue

The dream is to build a Library that makes modern design avaible to everyone. Imagine this with me: someone moves into an empty house, sets up their 3D printer and some plastic spools, and is able to fill all their basic needs with my library. I'm still prepping for my booth coming up in November and wanted to have a way to elevate my prints.  I found some 6"x24" tiles at the hardware store and got to it, this is the final version.  Each side has two pieces that slide together at the middle tile point.  There are three total plates to print on the bambu printer.  One plate will have both top sections, make sure to have the indented part up so you wont need supports.   The other two plates are one of the bottoms for each print.

**INSTRUCTIONS**

PREP THE TILT DRAWER
The New design of the drawers rely on using an M3 screw head to pivot on. This is significantly more stable and structural strong compared to previous designs.

• Inside the drawer pull M3 nuts into place, you may want to use a longer screw such as an M3x10 and then removing the screw

• Now thread an M3x6 (or longer) into place on each side of the tile drawer

**Extra Features**
• Use the GEN2 QuickLock - Bidirectional to install the Medium drawer under longer drawer cases. When sliding the drawer into place you will need to help the bidirectional QuickLock by holding them down until they are started under the slot of the drawer or rail above.

Hydra Tool Box

A little print in place container concept with a rising inner box I've been working on and plan to build upon further.

This is the twelfth version in a series gift boxes that may all look the same on the outside but they each have a secret way of opening. To open this one, turn the bow 90 degrees. Turning this rotates gears underneath which unlatch the top. A torsion spring keeping the lid from unlocking accidently.

Its roughly 100mm x 100m x 80mm tall. The top prints in place as one part, none of the parts require supports, designed for a .4mm nozzle.  I printed everything at .2 layer heights but the box could definitely be printed at a larger layer height without issue.

These drawers use GEN2 rails much longer than the standard GEN2 Lack drawers providing those with larger printers (about 300mm x 300mm) even greater storage capacity. These large drawers are part of the GEN2 Modular Storage System I designed which features a simplified installation method that allows you to rearrange and customize layouts in minutes.

Originally designed for the “Original Prusa i3 MK3 ENCLOSURE…", The Lack drawers have found their way on to many desks, workbenches, and other tables as well. Now with the GEN2's rail design you can quickly swap the storage units between work areas.

Features:
• Gen2 rails allowing quick and easier swap-ability and combinations of many Gen2 Storage System designs.
• Lack Drawers also include optional slots for magnets allowing drawers to snap into place with a nice "Click".
• Drawer stoppers keep your drawers from attacking your feet.
• Designed for larger and easier to install wood screws over the original lack enclosure drawer design.

**HARDWARE**
• Screwdriver
• Countersunk woodscrews: (Metric: 4x25mm to 4x16mm) or (SAE: #6 or #8 up to 1" long)
• Drill bit that is smaller diameter than the wood screws
• Pen, Marker, or Scratch Awl
• Magnets (Optional): 10x5x2mm or 10x2mm
• M3 nuts
• M3 Screws M3x6 - M3x10

**INSTRUCTIONS**
_ *See video for basic instructions_
 • With a marker or pen use the GEN2-QL rail to mark the hole locations on the surface you are mounting.

• Drill out marked locations using a drill bit smaller than the diameter of the wood screw you will be using.

• Prep the rail for installation by installing M3 nuts into the hexagonal holes. You can use a M3 screw to position and tighten the nut in place.

• Install the rail using wood screws, use at least 4 screws on the outer corners to mount the single rail and and 6 to mount the double rail. (extra screw holes are available if you plan to stack more than 2 rows of drawers or contents of heavier than normal weight.)

• Prep the drawer case for installation:

• Install GEN2-QL (QuickLock Mechanisms) These will allow you to quickly lock and unlock drawers without the need to screw them in place with a rail lock.

- Install optional magnets if desired 
NOTE: you only need to install at least one magnet, you can choose to install 2 stacked if you want more magnetism between the case and the drawer. Pay attention to polarity, they can be corrected later if needed.

- Install optional nuts in drawer case (these are only used if you are installing a shorter drawer beneath this drawer case.

- Install optional drawer stops by pressing them into place as they are friction fit. Pay attention to the orientation, notch facing down and towards the front to pass through the slot. The one labeled “L” goes on the left side of the case and “R” on the right side. (While facing the front of the case)

**OPTIONAL - Alternative method for locking drawers** _(You do not need this if you are using GEN-QL QuickLock Mechanisms)_
• Slide the case into position until it either stops or lines up with the front of the rail. (If you feel any resistance you might need to clean up and plastic imperfections around the male or female rails. 


• Slide a rail lock into the rail found on the backside of the drawer case, slide all the way to the top until it buts up against the hole in the rail that contains the nut. Screw in place using a M3x8 or M3x10.

• Prep the drawer, install the optional magnet, pay attention to the polarity. (If you need to remove the magnet you can use another magnet to pull it out of place or use a small Allen wrench or paper clip inserted into the hole below it.)

• Insert the drawer by tilting in back when installing in order to pass by the drawer stopper notches. The drawer should now slide into place.

• I guess you're all done unless you want to make more drawers :)

Installing Drawers under each other

• This is the same process as above but instead of mounting the "Rail Lock" into the nut on the rail you will need to slide a “Rail Lock Upper” into place on the back of the case above or if installing a shorter drawer line up with the hole in the case above it.
NOTE: You can only install the same length or smaller drawer case under each drawer case.


**RECOMMENDED PRINT SETTINGS**
Filament: PLA (PETG or ABS for heavier duty storage)
*PETG for QuickLocks
Nozzle Size: 0.4mm
Print Height: 0.2-0.35mm
Infill: 10-20%

I present to you my latest project, a small box with a mechanical iris closure. All parts are 3D printable.

The project was created using Rhino 8 and printed on a Bambulab A1 Mini with Sunlu PLA filament and a resolution of 0.15mm/layer.

I recommend using PLA filaments with good layer adhesion - do not use eryone matte filaments or silk filaments - use good quality PLA
