Spool Holder System
This week, I have posted my new Logical Wall-Mounted Spool Storage system that solved a massive problem for me. Sure, there are lots of spool storage systems out there and some really great ones. But I had my own specific criteria, like I wanted it to allow me to see all my open rolls of filaments. I really hate losing track of my open rolls and unnecessarily opening a new one. But I also wanted it to:
- use as little filament to print as possible,
- be scalable,
- be 100% printable and easy to assemble (no hardware or glue required),
- accommodate a wide range of 1kg spools in bags or without bags
And, this is what I have come up with, and I am finding it very good. It uses a printable rail system so you can minimize the number of holes in the wall, and also the rails allow you to scale the mounting side of the system so it can grow over time.
