March Release Preview
This month's collection follows Atorix's expedition into the Barrow Realms in search of exciting new artifacts and mysterious cultures. Unfortunately for him, they've run into a necromantic Realm ruled by Mortivex, a banished Dinovian death cult leader who has managed to tap into the power of the realm for his own nefarious ends! Will he and his coterie of warriors (and one pacifist mage) make it out alive?
The wonderful bases and terrains were sculpted by Calrais, with concept art (including characters) by Paul Ferret. The throwback pack this month features our very first model, Hikimoto, Hikiga Bruiser, the Boondaburra Dive Corps trio, and the jungle themed May 2022 Bases and Terrain pack which is perfect for explorers.
Conflux Creatures has helpfully created this index of all the collections he's done stats for, organized by Faction: https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/_oYUL_7FCY9x . Right now September is the latest month available, but Isaac is still working on these and intends to catch up.

This month's lore:
Vex, Tal, & Yel’gar, Dinovian Warriors
Though many in the Dinovian military consider it antiquated, there are still a number of infantry divisions who train with sword and shield. Using the kinetospire magical weapons of other soldiers can be learned in a few days of training, but the sword is a yearslong practice requiring much more skill, endurance, and strength to handle. However, these warriors are indispensable in close quarters fighting, with better coordination and discipline for dungeon-delving type explorations.
Atorix, Dinovian Explorer
An archaeologist by trade, Atorix’s passion is discovering ancient cultural artifacts and settlements. The Realms offer nearly infinite possibilities in this regard, with both lost Dinovian cities, and the cultures of other, sometimes unknown peoples. The typical way to fund these expeditions is to promise rare and exquisite artifacts to private buyers in Pangaea, but Atorix often can’t bring himself to let go of items of such academic importance. As a result, his expeditions are not usually the most highly funded or publicized, but his personal collection and depth of knowledge is truly impressive.
Mortivex, Dinovian Necromancer
The leader of a death cult, Mortivex was banished from Dinovian society decades ago for the atrocities he committed, and forced into the untold Realms with his foul followers. Amidst their wanderings, they encountered a Realm with a large amount of mysterious energy. Greedy to harness this power for himself, he tried to tap into it only to accidentally release a necromantic wave that turned him and everything in the Realm into undead. Despite this development, Mortivex has indeed managed to control the power for his own ends, and seeks to take revenge on Pangaea.
Lyr’vessa, Dinovian Mage
As a kinetomancer, Lyr’vessa’s skills are highly prized amongst the many Dinovian expedition leaders. Being able to lift, levitate, and move large objects and people certainly comes in handy while exploring unknown territory, and encountering rough terrain or obstacles. While Lyr’vessa’s magic is quite powerful, she hasn’t really trained it for combat. She usually limits herself to pushing threats away or dangling them in midair to neutralize them, but she’s certainly capable of much more.
Dinovian Undead Cultists
When Mortivex was cast out of Dinovian society, he took his death cult followers with him into exile. After discovering the magic source that released the necromantic wave, his cultists were also turned into undead. This included deceased, embalmed members whom Mortivex intended to resurrect as mindless minions. While they were indeed resurrected, they are not mindless and require frequent proselytizing in order to keep them in line.
