**Lantern Log** - _Advanced_
I designed this lamp in collaboration with OHR Design. We combined their super unique dimmable lamps with a photo scanned tree texture from [Gazzaladra](https://thangs.com/designer/gazzaladra). We then reimagined it to make it fully 3D printable to create the most amazing lamp, that only requires the addition of a light.

**But how does it work? **
Each of the log segments is linked to an inner gear, so when the lever is twisted, all the log fins rotate out. This allows you precise control over the level of light. This mechanism took a few months, and a ton of iterations to perfect.


**Where did the idea come from?**
This design came about after seeing one of OHR Designs cool lamps. I was working on designing the Forest Chess Set, and thought it would be amazing if you could turn a piece of nature like a log, into am functional lamp. After chatting for a few weeks, we got started on the design together.

This table is easy to print and easy to assemble and it looks great! It's awesome for displaying your 3d printed stuff. You could use it for holding your planters or as a pedestal. You can scale this up if you have a big enough printer and make yourself a full sized end table.

By default this Table is ~9inches wide and 12.5inches high.

Do not over tighten the threads and when you twist them on be sure to hold the wide section near the threads on the stem. If you want this to be permanent you can add some glue to the threads.

You will need support for the table legs. I used normal support at ~60 degrees (cura), ~30 degrees (Bambu Studio) and a brim. You can print the Stem and the top support free in the upside down orientation for each.

Fancy Table - Mid Century Inspired

A great addition for those on the move! This space saving design can fit easily into a backpack or shipping box and is small enough for a minimalist desk. From a standard Ender 3 S1 plate, It can fit 28 poker chip-sized coins but you can adjust the width based on preference and your printer settings. You can even add your own name or logo!

Legs screw together with two M3 screws, though you may need to drill out the holes a little - the first version was way too small.

**An organic shelf that “grows” from your wall.**
If you need a small shelf for anything you want to make visible every day (like your favorite Benchy or a small plant) this is the one for you. 
This one is partially based on a 3d-scan of a real formitopsis pinicula I found in the forest.

**Versions**
- Piniculafungus_shelf_default: The default size
- Piniculafungus _holder_default: the holder for the default size with a screw-hole diameter of 5.5mm
- Piniculafungus _shelf_default_no_holder: The shelf without the cut-out intended for scaling down below the mini version – must be mounted with glue or tape
- Piniculafungus _shelf_small: A mini version (60% scale and adapted)
- Piniculafungus _holder_small: A holder for the mini version – simply scaling down the default version would make the holder unusable
- Piniculafungus _shelf_small_no_holder: The small shelf without the cut-out intended for scaling down below the mini version – must be mounted with glue or tape
- Piniculafungus _holder_for_upscaling: If you want a huge version, scale up the default shelf and use this holder – the only difference is the screw-hole size of 3mm that will be usable when scaled. 
- Piniculafungus_shelf_magnet_internal: A version for making a fridge magnet with mid-printing insertion (40% scale)
- Piniculafungus_shelf_magnet_external: A version for making a fridge magnet (40% scale)
- Piniculafungus_shelf_extra_no_holder: The original optimized scan intended to be printed in small sizes to add as décor next to the shelves - must be mounted with glue or tape

**Instructions**
1. Print the shelf and holder
2. You can either screw or glue it onto your wall. There are various glue or tape products for wall fixation out there. I used 3M Tape. Old fashioned screws and dowels are the most reliable fixation.
3. Insert the shelf by moving it horizontally onto the holder until the holder is completely inside the cutout. Then proceed to move the shelf down and the holder locks.
4. Enjoy!

**Instructions fridge magnet**
Magnet required: a 20 x 2 mm neodymium magnet

Internal magnet
- The internal magnet shelf file has a cutout inside to place a magnet during the printing process. All mushroom wall shelf designs have the cutout at the same height – so you can print all of them at the same time.
- Use a copper nozzle for printing (nonmagnetic)
- Slice the file and check the layer height of the last layer before the bridging over the hollow cutout starts. With a 0.4mm nozzle it should be at layer 15. Implement a pause after that layer with your slicer.
- Start the print
- At the pause insert the magnet and continue printing. As always be careful with magnets and electronic parts!

External magnet
- Print the file
- Glue in the magnet after the printing process – the cut-out is sized to let the magnet stand out just a bit

Required build volume default size: 170 x 170 x 120 mm (you can rotate the shelf by 45 degrees to make it fit that size)

**Auto Locking Guitar Holder** - _Intermediate_ 

This guitar holder automatically opens and closes top keep your guitar from falling off the wall. It works great to display your guitar, but the best part is that its satisfying to use. 

Its works via a linear gear system and a rubberband that resets the guards when the guitar is off the wall. You will need a single standard rubber band to make this. A little bit of vaseline or lubricant makes it function even smoother.

1. Slot Levers into base

2. Insert left and right hooks onto levers. The levers should be oriented straight up when placing the hooks on.

3. Lock the hooks into place by screwing on the locking caps onto the threaded part of the levers

4. Orient Levers up, and insert a bumper into each side. Make sure the teeth on the bumper face inward, and the grooves are facing outward. You will need to press hard to get them inserted.

5. Tie a knot in the middle of a rubber band. Wrap one loop of the rubber band on each of the hooks. The mechanism should now work

6. Install onto wall by placing the base into the wall bracket and screwing into the wall.
