Can you make it to hold US standard 4x6 or 5x7 sizes? Also can you add the alphabet or number characters so we can mix and match and spell out things, instead of only 2024-2026 and cat and dog?
Hello! This is for the standard 15x10 format (6x4")
I have included a blank cover in the file so that you can write whatever you want on it. Just use the function in the slicer, it's very easy! I recommend watching a video on YouTube on how to insert text with the slicer!
Hello, I printed it and I have to say it’s incredible! Everything went perfectly: the parts fit together well and the photos slide perfectly. I used a matte filament from Sunlu. I’m now moving on to the Memories coasters! I’d like to congratulate you on your work keep it up, your ideas are amazing and the file quality is flawless. Thank you!
Hello! I downloaded this file, very excited to try this. I started printing the 11 slide pages. After the first 2, I snapped them together, it was very tight (I am using an Ender 3), I had to go into my CAD drawing (tinkercad) and made the slides a little bit narrow, not much and then the stops on them a little bit shorter in height. It seemed as though the tolerance was too tight for my printer. Afterwards, I waxed the slides to reduce friction. Hope this helps others solve some problems.
I emailed af_inventions and I haven't heard back from him. I don't know if it is allowed to send an altered file either. I do know that I have been having a great luck using the Sunlu green and yellow filaments. I know he had said to use a matte finish which I feel that these are. So, I don't know if that would help correct your issue. If I hear from him, I will let you know.
Hi! Could you please share the slicer settings you used for this model?, I’m having an issue where the photo pages don’t move smoothly and often get stuck, and I’d like to check if it might be related to the slicer configuration.
Thanks in advance!
I just purchased the subscription and printed this album book. I love the idea. So many things it can be used for and so many different audience that can use this. My one this is the pages sometimes get stuck and don't slide. Any suggestions edits or tricks for this? I tried to soften the edges with a heat gun it worked somewhat but wanted to see if you had any suggestions. FYI im using the Crality K2 plus. I did use the file you had for Creality which was so helpful.
Assembly is very simple, no instructions are needed. There are two types of pages, normal pages and the front page. You need to print 11 normal pages and 1 front page. Put them all together and then attach them to the cover. If you need any help, feel free to write to me!
How does the very bottom sheet attach without falling off? I had to switch to a single normal page per plate, as no matter what I did, the right side plate clumped and destroyed the other page. If you have observed this, let me know. I would love to be able to minimize my filament loss. Bambu P1P following all the recommendations, matte pla.
Basically, I lost 9 Matte pages before I gave up and switched to silk PLA. Let's hope it actually allows printing multiple pages per plate this time! (Also, I found out that the bottom plate just snaps in, so that's all good now)
Hi there! Thank you for this great idea. I just printed 25 and 24. I want to make my own and understand how - however I am having trouble with the font. The one in the screenshot in your instructions, does not match the text on the existing covers. Could you please let me know which font was used for the numbers, I'd like any new ones I add to match up. Thank you again!
Did you download and print the latest version of the file? (Version 3)
Did you use matte PLA (I used esun) as recommended?
Did you calibrate your printer properly?
Let me know and I'll help you!
I want to be honest and sorry for what am going to say, and sure if its only me, but this design is not great. Issues with the print and breaks easily when snapping them together (Using Matte PLA). I am going to print a new design from the 12 i got with the membership and will share my honest opinion.
I’m sorry to hear about your experience. As a designer, it’s always disappointing to learn that a project I’ve carefully developed and tested isn’t meeting expectations for a user.
Every design I release undergoes rigorous testing for both printability and durability. I personally tested this specific model on three different printers (Bambulab P1S, X1C, and Creality K1 Max) using eSun Matte PLA. In my tests, the parts proved to be robust and fully functional.
The issues you encountered might be due to a few external factors:
Assembly Force: Since these are plastic parts, excessive force during assembly can lead to snapping. The pieces are designed to fit without being forced.
Material Quality: Filament that is old or has absorbed moisture can become brittle, leading to fragile walls and poor tolerances.
Calibration: If a printer isn't perfectly calibrated, the tolerances between moving parts can drift, making them harder to snap together.
A few tips for success:
Cooling: Let the build plate cool completely before removing the pages to prevent any warping.
Pre-fit: Slide the pages back and forth a few times before final assembly to smooth out any tiny imperfections or "elephants foot" artifacts.
No Force Needed: If the pages feel stuck, do not force them. Instead, try pressing them firmly together to align the mechanism before attempting to close them.
As shown in my social media videos, the final result works smoothly without any "magic"—just a well-tuned printer and quality filament.
To help me investigate this further and improve the model if necessary, could you please provide more details about your setup? (Specifically: the brand of filament used and your printer model).
Thank you for your honest feedback; it helps me grow and provide better designs for the community. I hope these tips help with your next attempt!
There was probably an error when creating the file, so I recreated it from scratch. It should be fine now! Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you very much for reporting it!
I used the default settings in Bambulab Studio for a 0.4 nozzle and 0.2 layers.
The only adjustment was on the first layer, where I changed from 0.5 to 0.42
Happy print!

Are you able to easily adjust this so it could hold instax wide pictures please?

Would love to have this smaller for 4x6 photos

Hello!! Thank you so much🤩
I'm so glad to hear everything went so smoothly!
You'll have even more fun with Memory Coasters!
Thanks again and have fun! See you next time with the next invention!

I don't know if its allowed, but I have the same problem with friction. Would you be able to send me your edited file?

Good morning, I'm sorry to hear about this problem!
Have you downloaded the latest version (V3)? It contains several tips on how to print this design in the best possible way!
Let me know if you still have printing problems after following the advice in the file!
Thank you very much, ALFI

Do you have instructions on how to assemble? Which page do you start first? I'm just curious as they seem to have those notches? Thanks!

Thanks. My next question. How do you adjust it or what did you use to allow it to slide so smoothly?
I used Esun PLA matte. Nothing else. If you use normal PLA, it doesn't flow well.
That’s what I thought. I looked to see what I installed for PLA and I have Sunlu Matte. I do have the Esun arriving today.
Hopefully that fixes it. Thanks!
Hi! We printed the book, but the puzzle moves with difficulty. Maybe it would be better to slightly reduce the width of the puzzle?
Rub an unlit candle or a bar of soap along the guides. Don’t apply too much pressure, or they’ll break. Did you use matte PLA and follow my guide?
Use standard PLA Matte or ESUN PLA?
Yes, we are using matte PLA. We’ll try using a candle or a bar of soap now. Thx
Could someone please what size is the biggest part? I have an A1 mini.
Thx
yes you can print with a1 mini
Hello, I printed it's great .Can you make it 6 page only?

Hello! The name of font is COCOGOOSE PRO
thank you so much!
Is there instructions how to assemble? Because there are lots of files I don't know what to print exactly, Also what is the magnetic type
Hi On your memory book on the back its got yr name any chance there is blank one. Thanks eliz
Any advice on settings that can help make the pages slide better? Currently a very tight fit for me.

Print setting please. Prints are coming out with loads of defects
There was probably an error when creating the file, so I recreated it from scratch. It should be fine now! Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you very much for reporting it!
Could benefit from print settings, including orientation and supports if they're needed
Everything is already in the file!
so you don't do any supports?
Good design thank you! Any words on the print settings?
I used the default settings in Bambulab Studio for a 0.4 nozzle and 0.2 layers. The only adjustment was on the first layer, where I changed from 0.5 to 0.42 Happy print!
