Just wondering why the main rod is not so much shorter? Surely you would get less wobble if all the components were nearer together? Great design, just trying to understand the logic.

If your interested in 3d modeling the web based design platform (onshape) is a great learning platform. Not to mention it has a learning center that will teach you everything you want or need to know about 3d modeling. and if your using it at home to learn its FREE
Very nice design! I've had the idea for this contraption but with the addition of a Mendocino Motor that runs on LED light which are powered by the Flywheel generator! Will that work or will the Eddy Current prevent it from spinning indefinitly?! Looking forward to a test from you of such addition! :D
