Why on earth do you not supply a version where it is merged, you used to but then you decided to delete it so there isnt that option anymore.
I get why you fold these in half for strength in the correct direction but thats no good because now these become a complete NIGHTMARE to get in even if you glue the halfs together it never wants to go in properly, very annoying when you want to fit about 30+ of them. Ridiculous.
I saw a post for the Heavy Weight-Bearing Hook Snap and they mentioned heating these up to bend. So, I used my Wagner HT400 to heat it for a few seconds and it bends perfectly. And when it cools it pretty much stays in place.
When I fold mine they never line up. One side it higher than the other because of the fold. So, I dropped it in Tinkercad, split them apart and merged them together to print as one piece and it works great. What is the reason for printing this way?
strength. folded makes the layers go all the way from the top to the bottom. merged together the layers follow the threads and go from one side to the other. strength is weakest between layers so they're more likely to snap. PETG is supposed to be better for printing these.
Ah, that makes sense. However, I would imagine since these are set in a snap with the surrounding pressure it would not be that much of an issue. Good idea with PETG. But knowing what you said it seems snapping apart and super gluing would be the best option.
These work horribly if you have a Texturized sheet, they should only be printed on a flat PEI sheet or you will need to sand/torch a bit to fit tolerances
Hi, I do have a problem when I need to conenct a Slide conenctions with this screw, I did use the recomended parts and looks tome that the screw is not long enought to lok in place. any way to solve the problem ?

The reason for the folding is that this orientation results in a lot stronger part. A "single piece" would easily snap along the layer lines.
Before you fold it fully, just give it a quick pass with the torch and it will fold nice

That's 100% the best option warm plastic bends, cold mostly doesn't.

A solid version is an absolute must! Very rarely line up = difficult to screw in and even harder to mate with the female part consistently.

These are really frustrating. Even, if I manage not to break them when folding they usually do not fit into the pegboard holes of the tiles due to misalignment of both sides. I do not own a torch. Put them on your printer's heated bed for a few minutes.

mine lined up great, no breakage either. lil hard to get started but they all fit very good. Thank you for the files.
Agree with the others. I have around 85-90% failure rate. If there is any resistance when screwing in the fold seam fails and it splits in two.
Really dislike the folded design on this one. When folding they don't line up very well, and almost always break when screwing it in.
