Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (top left) Bank of America Stadium (top right) Progressive Field (bottom left) Allegint Stadium (bottom right). These snap together frames print super fast, assemble really well and look terrific! 3 of the 4 are snap together frames. Bank of America is the traditional frame.

These frames are a brilliant design. So clever, such a solid connection. Going to use one of those glitzy print beds to make them sparkle ;)

3D printing for roughly 2 weeks but after I saw the Micropolitan products I knew i had to print a Washington Commanders product immediately. The frame is a nice addition and excited to fine tune this more. Great products available and looking forward to printing more.

First, great model. Makes the topo maps even more fun to display!

Any tips for getting a tight fit on the corners? I'm finding that there is a small (but noticeable) gap at each corner. Printing using a Bambu A1 with new belts, new hotend, dry filament, etc..

This is fixed now with a flange to hide any small gaps

Hey thanks! We're working on a modified verison with a small lip that hides the through-line so any gap won't show through. For us the gaps are hidden pretty well when the frame is set on a surface or hung up so light doesn't shine through, but there might be some variation based on the filament/printer.

Fantastic! What are some nice filaments to use with this?

I used Overture Matte Black PLA. I love the matte finish to draw more attention to the artwork in the center. Black or any color that coordinates with your space would look nice!

Is there an STL file version for this?

I have a 3d map I want to make a frame for but it's rectangular instead of square. It's got 250mm X and 180mm Y. Can I make use of your beautiful frames here?

Hi there, I'm relatively new to printing and I'm trying to choose only 1 and delete the rest in Flashforge. It selects all items instead of just what I want to select. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I tried making this for a rectangular lithophane and the corners did not come out as a right angle. I only scaled up the Y axis. Any idea why?

Make sure you scale the whole thing Uniformly (x y and z), clips and all

I’m having the same issue on a scaled one too

Love the design if you can make a snap cube frame next that would be lovely

Why do the screw/nail holes have the place where the nail head goes thru plugged?

Fixed now!

Oh no, looks like an issue with the exported geometry. I'll fix that and re-upload this evening. Thanks for catching that!

This frame is brilliant for sure; excellent work! But, this particular frame only seems to work for the single-plate city map prints. I just printed up an XL-sized city map split into 4 different plates, and don't think I'll be able to use this to frame it, since each piece of this frame is a corner piece. Not sure what to do!

Might you be able to make a printable frame that works for XL-sized, multi-plate prints? :) Thank you!

Yes XL sized frames are coming soon :)

Oh that would be amazing. I have a 210 x 210cm print and looking for modular frame side pieces to make that span. Possible with your new XL frame model?

Micropolitan
Micropolitan

Yes it will be! I'm working on a web app to generate the pieces for it based on dimensions

Nulion

Excellent, thank you! :) I eagerly anticipate it!

Any ETA on those XL frames? :) I still have my 4-piece XL print sitting in pieces on the dining room table and don't know what to do with it! laughs I do so very much love looking at it though :)

Yes, thank you. This is exactly what I am looking for. I would love to frame my XL prints.

Could you make a 100mm one also? I’m out of practice to editing since I went laser.

The smallest frame in this download (140mm) should scale down to 100mm pretty well. Scale it down uniformly by 71.47% and the interior dimension will be 100.2mm to fit around a 100mm model.

If you want, print the sample pieces (Plate 7 in the 3MF file) with that scale to confirm the snap-fit is secure before printing the whole set.
