Let’s get started! 🚀

1. How to Download Designs

We’ll start with a simple, fun model, the Roman Pillar Cotton Bud Holder

First, let’s get the model files onto your computer:

Click HERE to go to the model page
Click the blue Download button

Your computer will download a .zip folder. When the download is finished:

Open your Downloads folder
Double-click the zip folder to open it

Inside, you’ll find three types of files — every LeHa Design download includes them, and we’ll go through what each one means:

📄 .3mf — READY-TO-PRINT File

Pre-configured with print settings & color assignment
Opens directly in Bambu Studio (works with any printer, not just Bambu Lab)
💡 Think of it as the “all-in-one” version of a 3D file: unlike an STL (shape only), a 3MF also includes colors, materials, and optimized print settings — perfect for beginners.

📄 README.md — Instruction File

Step-by-step printing and assembly guide
Includes recommended settings, filament suggestions, and tips
💡 Think of it as your manual — it tells you exactly how to get the best results.

📄 .stl — Raw Model Files

Shape-only, no colors (must be assigned in the slicer)
All files combined into one zip folder for convenience
💡 Best for advanced users. Most people won’t need these files.

All set? If it still feels like a lot, don’t worry — there’s just one last step:

Double-click the Ready-to-Print .3mf File to open it.

And that’s it — you’re ready to start printing! 🎉

2. How to Slice and Print Models

Open the .3mf file in your slicer. You should now see the Cotton Bud Holder Roman Pillar on the build plate.

But what’s a slicer?
A slicer takes your 3D model, “slices” it into thin layers, and converts it into code your printer understands. It also lets you adjust print settings — but don’t worry, the Ready-to-Print-File already has everything configured.

Now there are just 4 quick steps left:

Select your printer (make sure filament is loaded)
Choose your build plate type
Click Slice (this takes a few seconds)
Hit Print 🎉

Woohoo — your print is underway! 🎉
This one will take about 2 hours to finish.

While your printer does the work, let’s look at how you can get help and connect with other makers.

3. Getting Help and Engaging with the Community

Need help with your prints?
The easiest way is to leave a comment directly under the model. That way, everyone can see the question and benefit from the answers.

If you’re an experienced user, you’re welcome to jump in and help others who might be having trouble — sharing your knowledge makes the whole community stronger.

4. Sharing Your First Make

Here’s a little secret: Thangs gives out gift cards for the most liked Makes.

Wait — what are Makes?
Makes are simply photos of your finished 3D prints that you upload to the model page. It’s a fun way to show your results, inspire others, and maybe even win something along the way.

Let’s post your first Make now:
Grab your phone, head over to your printer, and snap a photo of your finished model.

Just scan the QR code above to visit the model.

Then click “Add Make” and upload a photo of your print.

Scroll down, add a short caption like “My First Make!” and hit Post.

That’s it — your first Make is live! 🎉
