This is a movie accurate rendition of The Batwing, an air combat vehicle that Batman uses - this particular design is from the Batman (1989) movie. I have always loved cool fantasy and sci-fi vehicles, and the Batwing stood out to me for its sleek, flashy design. 

I designed the entire model in Fusion360, referencing photos and schematics of the prop used in the actual movie. I did my best to replicate all of the intricate details, ensuring they converted well to the 3D printing medium. This model is printable even on small printers like the A1 Mini or Prusa Mini without any supports required.

There are also two display stand options featuring the Batman logo. One is a minimalist, smaller stand with an accentuating logo on top. The other is a stand inspired by the logo from the Batman (1989) movie that makes use of the AMS to print in dual black and yellow colors. The stands also come with an optional magnetic connector for easy attachment. This additional feature allows the Batwing to snap to the stand, and in my testing the stand was able to be completely inverted without the Batwing falling off. 

**Printing & Assembly**
There are multiple print profiles available with all of the necessary parts laid out. This model was test printed with a 190mm wingspan - it is rotated 45 degrees on the print bed to fit within a 180mm x 180mm space, meaning it fits completely within the A1 Mini. It is recommended that you print using the highest possible resolution (high quality, 0.08mm layer height) to capture as many details as possible. No supports are required.

Wait for the print bed to cool down before removal to ensure the wings don't warp. Then, connect the upper and bottom halves using two copies of the cylindrical connectors - spread superglue across the wings so they stay together and don't split over time. You can optionally clamp the wings together while the glue is drying for a better join.

You can glue small 6mm x 2mm cylindrical magnets into the holes on the top of the stand and bottom of the Batwing. These magnets are completely optional and the model will still fit on top of the stand either way.

The Batwing - Batman - DC - Fan Art

This is a model of an alien UFO with a tractor beam below it. It is an elegant, minimalist print and looks great as a desk toy or shelf display. The model can be printed in two parts, the ufo and the tractor beam, which are then connected together using the peg at the top of the tractor beam. Glue is required for a strong connection between the parts. If you do not want to use the tractor beam, you can print the alternate ufo-bottom-nobeam and connector-nobeam files instead.

Minimalist UFO

This is the MG-100 StarFortress SF-17 bomber used by the Resistance (aka the Resistance Bomber). It is a starship from the Star Wars universe with a very unique design that is now available for 3D printing! The final design is a default size of 26cm (10.2in) long and 19cm (7.5in) tall with its display stand, weighing approximately 226 grams. It can be easily scaled up to a larger size, making for an impressive display piece for any Star Wars fan.

**Printing**
This model prints in 49 pieces that can be assembled together using glue. Parts are denoted by -x2, -x3, etc. depending on how many you need to print.

Please make sure your printer is calibrated and capable of printing both fine tolerances and small parts. I recommend scaling all parts up by 25% if you want the ship to be easier to assemble. Don't wait until you've printed all 49 pieces to try to put some together as the clearance between parts is fairly small.

I recommend printing using the smallest layer height possible (I printed at 0.08mm) and slowing your printer down to ensure everything gets printed correctly. For small, thinner parts, make sure to enable brims so the parts stay adhered to the bed.

Parts are already be oriented in the optimal printing direction. The only parts that need supports are **sphere-turret-left.stl** and **sphere-turret-right.stl**.

**Assembly**
There is an attached assembly guide with photos showing how to put the parts together. This guide is included in the attachments. If you have any questions, feel free to message me! There are also two stand options for displaying your final model (**stand.stl** and **stand-reinforced.stl**).

**About**

I am excited to share this unique, **free to download** display piece that captures the essence of Batman and Gotham City. 

I released my Batwing model a month ago, featuring a simpler stand. My original vision, however, was to combine it with Gotham itself—the gritty, atmospheric city that has defined Batman for generations—to form a distinctive, bold display model. 

Inspired by Batman writer and editor Dennis O'Neil's vision of Gotham as _“Manhattan ... at eleven minutes past midnight on the coldest night in November,”_ this design brings that noir energy to life using a chunk of the Manhattan cityscape as the base for the Batwing’s dynamic flight with a custom cutout in the shape of the classic Batman (1989) logo. The result is a striking display that sets the Batwing above the shadowy streets of Gotham.

If you’ve already printed my Batwing, the design hasn’t changed—just a new stand that swaps easily with the original. If you haven’t yet, all files are included in the download, with detailed printing and assembly instructions below for a seamless build experience.

This is a model of an alien UFO with a tractor beam below it. There is a slot to insert the LED Lamp Kit 001 from the Bambu Lab Maker's Supply, [available here.](https://us.store.bambulab.com/collections/makers-supply/products/led-lamp-kit-001)

 It is an elegant, minimalist print and looks great on a nightstand or desk. The model can be printed in three parts, the ufo top/bottom and the tractor beam, with glue being optional but recommended for a sturdy build. **No supports required.**

There are two variants of the tractor beam. You have to press fit the LED Lamp Kit into the beam, and if it doesn't fit, you can try printing the looser tolerance version.

UFO Lamp - Light - Lighting

This is the City Destroyer, an alien spaceship from the 1996 Sci-Fi movie Independence Day, starring Will Smith. The aptly-named city destroyer was a massive spacecraft used by the Harvesters in the War of 1996 to attack Earth.

This movie-accurate miniature model depicts the city destroyer shooting a laser beam into New York City. It is a unique, captivating display piece that is perfect for any sci-fi movie fans.

**Printing & Assembly**

The model prints in two halves that are put together with connectors and glue. You also glue the destruction beam into the city for a stable base. 

If you find the destruction beam doesn't fit into the stand, there is an alternate version with slightly looser tolerances. I tried to make tolerances as tight as possible on the default version to prevent the ship from rocking back and forth if the connection is loose. There is also an alternate stand that is just a minimalist black base if you don't want to use the city model.

You can glue small 6mm x 2mm cylindrical magnets into the holes on the top of the stand and bottom of the alien ship. These magnets are completely optional and the model will be stably mounted on top of the stand either way.

Independence Day - Alien City Destroyer

This is an accurate rendition of the Z-95 Headhunter, a starfighter from the Star Wars franchise. It was the first snub-fighter, a predecessor to the popular X-Wing starfighter. Although the Z-95 was considered outdated by the time it was deployed, it became an extremely common starfighter and saw use in multiple roles.

This model **does not require any supports** and prints in just 2 pieces that are joined together with connectors. It was designed to fit on virtually any printer, including the A1 Mini and Prusa Mini. When assembled, it measures 237mm long x 201mm wide x 35mm tall (9.3in x 7.9in x 1.4in). 

Additionally, there is an included stand with the Rebellion logo so you can display the Z-95 Headhunter at a nice angle. There are 2 slots for optional 6x2mm magnets so that the Z-95 Headhunter can snap onto the stand nicely but they are not required.

This is an elegant, minimalist rocket ship blasting off into outer space. It's perfect as a desk toy or display for a shelf. The model prints in two colors (the rocket and the plume of smoke). The plume of smoke does not need supports, but minimal tree supports are recommended for the rocket ship. The models can be printed in different colors and then connected together using a peg at the top of the smoke. Glue is recommended for a strong connection between the two parts.
