What is this thing good for?

Inspired by this phone stand model on Printables I made this model in FreeCAD. It has two colored insert pieces.

On a side note, FreeCAD has a more challenging UX than Dwarf Fortress.

Now the question is, what is this thing good for? If you have any thoughts, let me know and I can publish the model with perhaps some improvements regarding it's use.

For now, I did make a bracelet based on the same principle that you can print right now.
