I ended up changing the monstera albo white parts to a modifer and used it for the leaf instead as the provided way didn't work very well. This way I can also make the tops nice and flat!
Our Big Daddy Monstera watching over the little Monstera coasters before they head off to brighten up our extended family's homes this Christmas.
I bought a Bambu Lab P1S just to print this.
hello everyone I can't find the smaller dirt size file, must not be uploaded here.
I'm trying to resize the dirt base to fit inside of a 4 inch pot. is there an easy way to do this? in bambu studio if I resize it, it changes the nodes. Anyone?
If you slice the bottom off it will import fine into Tinkercad and you can make the base any size your heart desires. I sliced it so the base was about 5mm and had no issues.
Awesome design. I just printed the leaves, and there are some marks on each leaf. I used the 3mf file printed on Bambu P1S with AMS. Do you have any idea how to fix it?
Hi there! I am seeing lines on your leaves that look to be caused by under-extrusion. You could try upping your printing temp to try and combat that; as well as check that you don't have a partial clog
I've noticed some of the leaves where the magnets go have a hole on the other side. Changed the layer height to .1 Anyone else seen this? Maybe add support in the magnet hole??? Bambu mini A1
I have this same issue. I'm afraid that they won't fit on the dirt if I adjust the size of the stems to fit my printer bed. Does anyone know if this is the case?
Anyone else having issues fitting the 5x3 magnets? Seems the tolerance is super tight.
UPDATE: If you are printing in ABS, you may need to scale up to 100.5% to account for "shrinkage".
Some of the more basic stuff would be calibrating your extrusion. Basically this means that your printer will put out how much filament you expect. There's tons of good videos on youtube on how to do it.
Then you can get into ideal printing temperature, retraction settings, overhangs, cooling, etc
Hi, I recommend using the 5 mm x 3 mm magnets linked in the model description. I designed the monstera to work with those magnets. 5 mm x 2 mm aren't going to work well.
Hi having issues with the holes for the magnets on both stem and left, using aa 5x3mm magnet as in link but no joy, seems to be to tighter fit. is there a way to adjust the hole size or print with a support
Hi! You can add supports if you would like. You could also try sizing the stems up to 101% to see if that helps you. The tolerances are meant to be tight so you don't have to use glue when assembling them.
The whiteness varies depending on the filament you use. More translucent whites will shine through than others! But that actually gives it a more natural appearance.
If you want it to look more like the photos, test a few different white filaments OR use the one i have linked in the description
If your printer is too small, you can separate the STL into objects! Not sure what slicer you have, but in Bambu Slicer you just right click it and click “separate to objects”
Is anyone else having issues with the leaves? The holes are too small for the magnets and the top layer of white on the albo leaves is essentially translucent. I printed exactly per the instructions and used all the setting suggested as well as the filament.
On the variegated version my Green is bleeding through I need more white. Tried to raise the pattern but alas no avail. Can you raise it a bit so i get more white?
It was actually designed so the green would bleed through more because it’s more realistic looking. But if you want more solid white you can try a more opaque filament. Some white filaments are more translucent than others
The smaller dirt base will fit inside the spinny pot, but Its not specifically desinged for it from a functional or aestetic perspective. Currently making a pot meant for the monstera though!

Is this pot printed as well? If so you have a link for it?
No the pot is a real Pot. Mass production of these are cheaper than you'll never achieved with 3d printing
Maybe in mass quantity purchases. But I can print one for $.75 less than buying one from HD
Great model - cactus is work in progress
What pot templet did you use?
Hi Christa, the pot is from the DIY store.
How did you print the aloes on the floor?
Could you share a bit more detail on how you accomplished this? I’m fairly new to 3d printing and would love to replicate what you’ve done.
How did you manage to place/print the Albo Pattern on the Buildplate side? I'm trying to do that aswell but unfortunately I'm not successfull.

You should try it with Tinkercad. I also modified my "dirt base" via Tinkercad so that it fits perfectly in my pot.
How did you upload into Tinkercad? I get an error that says the file is too complex.
I'm new to this so its kind of hard. still haven't gotten it. tinkercad wont even let me import it, said its too big
@ForgeCore: Is it ok for you if I share my customization with Herman?
Guys, permission given by ForgeCore - thank you! As said, you can send me a dm or follow me on Makerworld. Will send them as dm.
Would you be able to share your customization with me? Appreciate it!
Could you share with me as well? Thank you!
can you send it to me as well?
While we wait, you can create an account at Makerworld and follow me or send me a dm.

Don’t see an option there at Thangs. 🤷♂️
I'm also a bit new to using cad software's is there any way you can also show me how to do it? Thanks.

We’re very happy with the monstera plant 🤩
For my fellow Dutchies, these work great: https://amzn.eu/d/80GJWwL
would be great if you could make one that is a 1 piece design with no compartment!
désolé l'ami je ne sais modéliser j'ai trouver le pot sur printables alors j'ai partager le lien avec tout monde
What filament was used on the one in this photo? I'm having a hard time finding the right green.
Its linked in the description!

I'm trying to print on the Ender 3 v3 SE but it seems the stems don't fit on the print surface? Did anyone else have that issue?
I imported the STL files into Cura and am trying to slice.
I have this same issue. I'm afraid that they won't fit on the dirt if I adjust the size of the stems to fit my printer bed. Does anyone know if this is the case?
I ended up splitting it into parts and just printing a few at a time
Stems and leaves needed to be reprinted at 102% to fit magnets. Other than that it came out great!
Hello,
Thank you for this fantastic model! A few requests:
Thank you for your time.
Anyone else having issues fitting the 5x3 magnets? Seems the tolerance is super tight. UPDATE: If you are printing in ABS, you may need to scale up to 100.5% to account for "shrinkage".
I got same problem with PLA, how can i solve?
I printed in PLA and the 5x3 magnets I got fit fine. Is your extrusion calibrated for your filament?
I bought a Ender 3 v3 SE, just added the PLA into the machine and try to print. There is some configuration that i need to do before printing?
I would highly recommend a number of things.

hello will 5mm by 2mm work

Let me know when you update the Dirt to the textured one. I will pause my membership until then.
I did!, I updated the whole model actually, here ya go: https://than.gs/m/1300716

what is the size of the magnets
They are 5 x 3 mm magnets, as listed in the description. The link to purchase is there as well!
How are you getting the white to be so white? When I print it looks more blue like the green is showing through the white.
The whiteness varies depending on the filament you use. More translucent whites will shine through than others! But that actually gives it a more natural appearance.
If you want it to look more like the photos, test a few different white filaments OR use the one i have linked in the description
Can you tell us what filament you used on the pot? Specifically the wooden looking part? Thank you!
Linked in description!
My printer is too small for the grouped STL files. Can I get individual STLs?
If your printer is too small, you can separate the STL into objects! Not sure what slicer you have, but in Bambu Slicer you just right click it and click “separate to objects”
Is anyone else having issues with the leaves? The holes are too small for the magnets and the top layer of white on the albo leaves is essentially translucent. I printed exactly per the instructions and used all the setting suggested as well as the filament.
The holes are very tight. I normally place the magnet on the table and push the leaf down on top of it. Keep the polarity in mind
On the variegated version my Green is bleeding through I need more white. Tried to raise the pattern but alas no avail. Can you raise it a bit so i get more white?
You can also select the pattern alone and then scale just the Z to whatever mm you want. I put mine up to .20mm for the pattern layer.
It was actually designed so the green would bleed through more because it’s more realistic looking. But if you want more solid white you can try a more opaque filament. Some white filaments are more translucent than others
Is this sized so it would fit in your spinny plant pot?
The smaller dirt base will fit inside the spinny pot, but Its not specifically desinged for it from a functional or aestetic perspective. Currently making a pot meant for the monstera though!
