New Planter Concept

New Planter Concept

Hello, Thangs community!

I’m excited to introduce a brand-new planter concept that I’ve been working on, designed specifically with printability and aesthetics in mind. Planters with drip trays are nothing new—many designers have created solutions for catching excess water. However, these often come with compromises:

  • Visible Separation Lines: Most support-free designs feature an external seam that breaks the visual flow of the planter.
  • Support-Heavy Hidden Trays: Other designs conceal the drip tray but require support structures, making them inefficient for mass production.

I wanted to create something better. My planter features a fully hidden drip tray, yet remains completely support-free—combining seamless aesthetics with production efficiency. This means:

No support structures – Less material waste and faster print times.
Perfect for print farms – Optimized for high-volume production.
Seamless design – No unsightly separation lines disrupting the form.
Efficient use of space – The entire planter, including all components, fits within a standard print bed.

This planter is a true balance of form and function—minimalist, elegant, and engineered for effortless production. It will be available soon for my supporters on Thangs.

Let me know what you think! Would you like to see more planters following this design principle?

Stay tuned for the release!

Cheers,
Juri
