Disguised as a wall mounted spool holder 3D Printing Guardian watches over the whole 3D printing process. He immediately made our lives easier as now we can replace a spool in seconds. It is especially handy when changing filament for multicolor 3D printing. The idea was to design something functional but with an interesting theme to it. That’s how our 3D Printing Guardian was born.

NB! Mace screw system is fragile - please do NOT overtighten it when screwing the mace parts together. If the screw system gets broken, just print out the reinforcement rings. See the picture.

Another themed 3D printing accessory.
Can be printed with color changes to make a triangle, a gear, the body and the goggles in different colors.
Easy to print, with 0.2 layer takes only 2 hours.
Mind the stringing. If you have stringing in the beginning between the hands, then there is a big chance that fingers will fail.

What began as a [themed spool holder](https://3dwithus.com/3d-printing-guardian-spool-holder) in 2017, has gained popularity and positive feedback. Several years on, 3DPG is not simply a spool holder, but also a comic strip hero and was featured as a YouTube channel anchor. We have already been in collaboration with a few known 3D print designers, and you can recognize them from some of the comics. For example, Louise Driggers allowed us to feature her Adalinda and PrintThatThing's Armored Cat was also featured in the comics. As the project continues, more related content is expected to come.

The current model is a gorgeous figurine that, if printed full-sized, can hold a pen. If scaled, it can hold smaller tools like hex tools, for example.

We added STL and .3mf files. In the screenshot, we show how to place supports. On the Creality K1 with organic supports, this model was printed in 6 hours.
