Glow-Up Challenge

The challenge: Take an old design and give it a massive upgrade. We all started somewhere, and your earliest 3D models might look a little rough around the edges today. For this contest, we want you to dust off one of your very first 3D designs and use your current skills to completely re-imagine, optimize, or expand upon it. The goal is to show a clear "before and after" transformation that proves just how far you've come as a designer!

To help you level up your workflow, we’ve teamed up with industry leaders Shapr3D and 3Dconnexion —two brands dedicated to supporting creators from day one to professional mastery. To make sure you’re fully equipped, Shapr3D is offering an extended free trial for the entire duration of the contest to every Thangs member! While you are welcome to use any CAD software you prefer, we highly recommend giving Shapr3D a spin. If you do, we’d love for you to share a glimpse of your modeling workflow along with your submission.

Ready to show off your evolution? Upload your newly re-designed model to the contest page, making sure to highlight your progress by showing us the original concept side-by-side with the upgrade. Because great designs deserve to be brought to life, every valid entry must also include a photo of your actual, physical 3D print.
