Ask and I shall deliver! A request came in for this map and I am here to provide it to you! I converted the Westeros map (from Game of Thrones) into a 'woodforged' version (using the SVG method I outlined in the woodforging instructions!) and it came out amazing!

I printed this on my brand new H2D at almost-full bed size capacity (340mm) and it was glorious.

Today I am providing you with a 3MF file for the H2D version of the map (BIG!) as well as a smaller 250mm sized print that will fit on the A (not mini), P and X series Bambu printers.

!!! Please be aware that this takes a REALLY long time to slice using Bambu Studio. Please be patient. Grab a coffee or an ice cream while you wait. Legit it might take like 20 mins!!!

If you want to print this on the H2D:

  • You will notice that the file has been split in two. This is because the slicer does not like it when you exceed the 'left' or 'right' side of the bed plate without manually splitting the model (I hate it!!). This means that you will need to have all 4 colours loaded on both the right AND left nozzles of your H2D, and group and assign them accordingly in the slicer.
  • I did this by manually unspooling a bit of each colour onto empty spools and then loaded those empty spools into the AMS (I had one AMS on each nozzle).
  • There will unfortunately be a seam in the print where its cut in half, but its not very visible. I'm hoping Bambu sorts themselves out and make some changes to the slicer so that this does not need to be done in the future.
  • You will notice that this does not use layer swaps and instead this uses height range modifiers to swap colours. Again, this is a Bambu slicer limitation and I hate it.
  • I recommend using a line width of 0.35mm

If you want to print this on a not H2D printer:

  • This has been resized to 250mm tall, so this also means that you might lose some of the details in the words of the map. You MIGHT want to re-slice this to print it with a 0.2mm nozzle, but that's up to you. It will take a very long time and you will need to use your own 0.2 nozzle settings.
  • The map will print in its entirety without any split seams like the H2D version.
  • I recommend using a line width of 0.35mm
  • Additionally if you did want to print this on a bigger printer without it being spliced in two, just resize this version to whatever size you want it to be (JUST NOT THE Z DIMENSION PLEASE) -Also note: I have not actually printed this smaller version

As usual, the instructions will be in the describe.txt file, and all filament swaps will already have been loaded into the 3MF file.

Happy printing!!
