Spiral Planter
Spiral patterns like this have been done before, but this one has a twist off drip tray! There are two sizes (2.75" and 4.5") included for both wall mounted and tabletop versions. You can fit 3 small ones on a build plate including the wall mounts. The 4.5" pot and tray just BARELY fits on a 256x256x256 mm build plate. I've included the .3mf so you don't have to try to fit them yourself, but you could always just print the 4.5" pot and tray separately if you have a smaller printer.
Reminder that the Command Strip wall mount is designed for Command Medium Picture Hanging Strips (the velcro ones). The link to buy them is in my Amazon Storefront linked at the bottom.
Supports None needed!
Scaling I wouldn't recommend scaling this one since it perfectly fits the command strips and the screw holes are designed specifically for #10-12 x 1-1/4 in anchors and screws.
Orientation The planter and tray should have their bottoms on the build plate. All mounts should have the sliding dovetail facing up.
Print Settings .2mm layer height 15% grid infill 2 walls

i thought all your planters were going to come out with the concave bottom update from now on? just printed the base for this in matte black and the line is rather noticeable. also eagerly awaiting the mcm planter update as i have issues with the line on that also
Hi ! Is it possible to add the images in the zip file ? Thanks
Botanist noob question: How does the watering work? You water the plant like normal and then - after some hours (?) - you screw off the bottom and remove the excess water ?
Or is it meant to put the water into the tray and the plant or soil sucks it up somehow ?
Hey there, as others have mentioned - we are all having an issue with a big noticeable line in the tray portion of the print. Can you please fix this file and the MCM planter with the new "concave bottom update". Thank you!
If I lock the small one, the pattern does not align. I need to twist it back like 1 or 2mm to align
Just curious, what command strips do you use for these? One of my customers used Command Strip brand strips, rated for 16 pounds, and they keep falling off the strips.
