PlayBook'd - Sea Battle
Instructions Hardware Filaments
Sea Battle - Intermediate The classic game of sea battle is now a book. I've had the idea to design books that transform into board games for so long, and I really should have made these sooner.
Sea Battle is the second game in the series im calling PlayBook'd. Board games that transform into books so they look neat on your shelf.
Disguised as a book This design blends in on your bookshelf or table. But when you're ready to play, turn the page, split the book, and you're playing Sea Battle. The book "rips" into 2 pieces, which both form the players boards. Lids hold the pieces in place, and hinge up to secure the board while you play.
Easy Storage This looks like a book when you're not playing. So you can store it anywhere! And since the covers hold together with magnets, all your pieces are secure inside. Just open the book to play, and shut the book to put it away.
More PlayBook'd Games Coming Soon Let me know what game you want to see PlayBook'd next! I'm going to make an entire series of these books so you can fill your shelf with games.

would this print fit on a 22x22
The largest piece is 245 mm wide. So if you are using a 220 mm build plate it unfortunately wont fit
Do you happen to have playing instructions for this?
Hello! I downloaded a couple weeks ago and am finally printing. I don't have the lids for the boat compartments on my plates. There are 6 plates total one for the white board (print twice), blue cover board (print twice),white missiles, red missiles and grey boats. Let me know! Otherwise the print is fabulous
Hi! please re-download, as we have made a few small tweaks to the design to help with the fit of everything, and that way you can be sure you have the most up to date design adjustments.
Got it, thanks!
Hello, I have been trying to put this file in to Ultimaker Cura to slice it, but every time I try it gives an Error or says there is no model in the file. Does anyone have any ideas to fix this? Or alternate slicers?
Hi! Cura isn't a fan of 3mf files. I would suggest using another slicer like Bambu Studio or Orca to open, slice, and print.
Thanks for the tip!
Any chance these can be re made to put stronger bigger magnets in .
Hi! Due to size constraints, these would be the largest magnets that can fit for this design. However, you could look for a stronger option, in this size, rather than the ones I have listed if you prefer.
the top and the bottom of both pieces aren’t aligning with each other when the book is closed, what would be a fix for that?
Hi, It sounds like you may have some warping that occurred during printing but without seeing it, It is hard to be certain. could you share a picture in our discord channel where we can help you some more?
I figured out the problem was that i wasn’t pushing the top into the hinges enough, sorry to bother!
I'm glad you figured it out! Thank you for updating!
