XL Summer Goose

XL & Not So XL Summer Goose: Assembly Guide Building your Summer Goose is a breeze! While most parts are designed for a snug fit, glue is required for the final assembly (especially for the sunglasses). I highly recommend a "dry fit" (assembling without glue first) to ensure you’re comfortable with where everything goes. Important Printing Tips

  • Sizing & Scaling: The XL and "Not So XL" versions are the same model, but their connectors are pre-scaled for different tolerances and plate sizes. If you scale the model down further yourself, you may need to reduce connector sizes by an additional 1–2%.
  • Material Choice: * Indoor: PLA is fine.
    • Outdoor: Use PETG.
    • Extreme Heat: Consider ABS or ASA to prevent warping.
  • Supports: Required for several parts. In your slicer, set the Top Z distance to 0.275mm for easy removal. Ensure all connector holes are completely cleared of support debris.
  • Tolerances: Every printer is different. If a connector feels too tight, scale it down by 1–2%.
  • Orientation: "Left" and "Right" refer to the Goose's perspective (its left/right, not yours). Assembly Instructions
  1. The Feet & Sliders The feet must be built in a specific order to fit inside the sliders.
  • The Right Foot: Take the right front foot, back foot, right slider, and two connectors.
  • The Build: Insert connectors into the front foot, then slide the front foot into the front of the slider. Slide the back foot into the rear of the slider. Push the two foot halves together until they meet in the center recess of the slider.
  • Repeat: Do the same for the left side.
  • Mounting: Use the two specialised "Base-to-Leg" connectors. Slide them through the sliders into the legs, then slot the assembly into the base.
  • Details: Snap the three stripes (Front, Middle, Back) onto each slider. They are side-specific and only fit one way.
  1. The Body & Wings
  • Lower Body: Insert two connectors into the top of each leg and snap on the lower body.
  • The T-Shirt: Place five connectors into the top of the lower body, then slide the T-shirt over them.
  • Arms/Wings: Insert two connectors into each arm and attach them to the sides of the body.
  1. The Head & Face
  • Neck & Head: Insert two connectors into the top of the T-shirt and slide the head into place.
  • The Beak: Insert the connector into the beak first, then firmly push the beak into the face.
  • Eyes: Snap the two eyes into the sockets on either side.
  • The Hat: The hat features a built-in connector—simply slot it into the top of the head.
  • Sunglasses: Press the two "glass" pieces into the frame. The glasses rest in a small notch on the beak. (Glue is recommended here).
  1. Base Accessories
  • The Drink: Place the "cola" insert into the cup, then add the three ice cubes on top. Place the cup in its designated spot on the base.
  • The Bucket: Carefully snap the strap into the sides of the bucket (it’s a tight fit!), then place it on the base.
  • Sandcastle & Spade: These slot directly into the remaining recesses on the base. Congratulations! Your Summer Goose is ready to catch some rays.
