Tony Tony Chopper Prints in parts, approx 40cm/16"
Tony Tony Chopper Build Instructions Preliminary Notes Before you begin, please keep the following in mind:
- Adhesive: This model requires glue for the final assembly. I strongly recommend performing a "dry fit" (assembling without glue) first to ensure everything aligns correctly.
- Orientation: Keep your parts organised. Any mention of left or right refers to Chopper’s perspective, not your own.
- Connectors: There are three types of connectors: the key shaped connector, the long cylinder, and the short cylinder. While the cylinders are named based on their placement, they are actually the same size.
- Scaling: This model is provided at a single size. You can scale it up or down, but ensure you scale all parts equally. If you scale down significantly, you may need to adjust the connector sizes further.
- Filament Colours: The recommended palette includes Bambu matte in caramel, latte, dark red, and purple. You will also need basic black, white, brown, mistletoe green, dark brown, bronze, and maroon red. Phase 1: The Base and Lower Body
- The Base: Begin with the green moss components. Their shapes make it easy to determine where they fit together. Place the small grey rock into the center of the larger moss piece.
- Base Connectors: Insert two key shaped connectors into the base.
- The Legs: Gather the right leg, right toes, and two long cylinder connectors. Insert the connectors into the leg and slide the toes into place. Repeat this process for the left side.
- Lower Assembly: Slide the completed legs onto the connectors already standing in the base.
- The Shorts: Insert two more key shaped connectors into the tops of the legs, then slide the shorts onto them. Phase 2: The Torso and Arms
- The Upper Body: Place two key shaped connectors into the top of the shorts to attach the upper body.
- Arm Preparation: Insert two more key shaped connectors into the upper body. Before adding the neck fur, attach the arms.
- Arm Assembly: For the right arm, insert a key shaped connector into both ends of the arm piece. Slide on the hand, then insert two small cylinder connectors into the hand before sliding on the claws. Repeat this for the left arm.
- Neck Fur: Slide the neck fur over the connectors on the upper body. Ensure enough of the connector remains visible to attach the head later. Phase 3: The Head and Face I recommend building the head separately before attaching it to the body.
- The Eyes: Gather the parts for the right eye: the black outer rim, white section, brown section, black center, and the reflection piece. Insert the black outer rim first (the long edge faces the nose, with the flat section at the top). Follow this by inserting the eye white, the eye brown, the black center, and finally the reflection. Repeat this for the left eye.
- The Nose: Insert one long cylinder connector into the nose and push it into the face.
- Head Attachment: Seat the completed face onto the two connectors protruding from the neck. Phase 4: The Hat and Accessories
- The Hat: Insert two key shaped connectors into the top of the head. Before placing the hat, insert four long cylinder connectors into the cutout for the cross, then press the cross into place. You can now set the hat onto the head.
- The Flags: Take a flag pole and locate the two cylinder sections. The flag attaches here. Note that while it rests on the pole, it will only be secure once glued. Place the first flag into the slot on the left side of the base.
- The Potion Bottle: Assemble the bottle using three parts: the main body, the label (which slides into the front), and the cork. Place this into the circular slot in the base.
- The Mushroom: Slot the stalk into the bottom of the mushroom top and place it into the third slot on the base.
- Final Flag: Assemble the second flag using the same method as the first and place it in the final slot on the base. Congratulations! You have finished building Tony Tony Chopper.
