Festive Lamppost
Festive Lamppost so there are two different versions of the lamppost. the version on makerworld is the basic lamppost. it stands around 140cm tall. the additional parts included below just for subscribers include. extra lamp panes with different designs. two extra post parts allowing the lamp to extend taller. around 165cm cylinder for a 2m strip light. a plain post part 4 without the cable hole should you not want to use it. a blank pane for adding your own text. i may also add further pane designs at a later date. Assembly… its fairly straight forward. the basic version has the base and 4 post parts. the additional parts adds an extra post part to make 5 plus base. the lamp main screws on to the post part 4. the gold decoration labelled post to main lamp just clips in place with the flat edge to the lamp main. the cylinder has a spiral exactly the length of a 1m strip light. in the additional parts is a cylinder which has a spiral of exactly 2m in length. wrap the strip light around the cylinder. you can go either way from bottom to top or top to bottom and if you choose to power by mins run the cable down the center. Ive chosen a strip light that can be battery powered for my print. should you choose the same ive added a shelf in the top to store the battery pack. should you want to power from the mains ive added two exit points for the cable. one in post part 4 with accompanying cable holder and the other in the base if you have a cable long enough. should you not want to use a mains power cable you can use the replacement post part 4 with no hole for the cable. next add the panes. the included panes are etched on the reverse with a decreased thickness so the design appears lighter when lit. For the panes i have used bambu basic white. it has decent transparency. if adding your own text on the blank pane, id suggest a thickness of 0.2 and embedded 0.5. after all four panes are in added to the lamp main top. and then add to top to that. finally add the 4 gold decorations to the top. everything prints without supports apart from the cable holder with is pre supported in the 3mf. use glue if you like for the lamp top parts. filament used are Bambu maroon red, basic bronze and white
0.2 layer, the infill you can do what you want really. some of the larger parts you may want less. but i would say add more where there are connecting pieces. so ive left it at around 10%.
the led light strip i used was from amazon at about £5 which has a battery pack, can use the mains and changes colour etc. they are readily available. you can cut strips but to make it easy the cylinders are for 1m or 2 m lengths.

Do you have a link to the light you used by any chance, please? Thank you :)
Does the file for the additional parts to get the added length work with the P!S file parts. Took a look and not sure but the thread size on post part 0 looks larger than what fits into post part 1?
Sorry see your note below to address this saying to download the p1s profile for additional parts. But I can't find this, where is it located? Or if you can tell me the size reduction % to go from the standard to the P1S?
Hallo. Ist es möglich die Lampe selber zu skalieren? Wurde sie kleiner als 140cm Drucken wollen. Danke für die Antwort :)
After printing -lamp base for tall version, lamp post part 0 (below part 1) and all the P1S posts, the post that I printed from the p1s 3mf file do not connect to the part 0? Am I doing something wrong here?
Are the extra lamp post parts not compatible with the p1s profile parts? Part 0 seems slightly too large to fit to part 1
please make sure you download the p1s profile for additional parts
There´s a type mismatch on one pane...it sais: Its the most wonderful time of the the year ;) I´ll put that pane in the back :)
sorry for late reply yes it was fixed.
In the file for the p1s, that incudes the cylinder or 1m light strip, correct? If we want the 2m, we would use the stl for 2m instead correct?
Added print profile for P1S and X1c
Are there updated decorative inserts? Merry Christmas appears to be the only one working for the P1S and X1C
Hi, loving all the XL models, just put this model into Bambu studio printing on a P1S and it came up with error code for multiple plates. “Is too close to exclusion area, there may be a collision when printing”. So it won’t let me slice the file. Any fix for this?
so its edge to edge for size. and the p1s has a corner that's not printable, to you will need to scale all part down the same percentage to avoid that corner. there is enough tolerance for you to do that.
ill add a revised version to make it easy
That's absolutely perfect thank you so much I really appreciate you doing that! :-)
