Description

The Higgins Boat, or Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel (LCVP), played a crucial role in amphibious assaults during World War II, most famously during the D-Day landings at Normandy in 1944. Designed by Andrew Higgins, this versatile craft could carry troops, small vehicles, and equipment directly onto beaches, making it an essential part of Allied victory.

This detailed 3D printed model of the Higgins Boat is 40 cm long and carefully designed for easy assembly. The model requires no painting, as the parts can be printed in their respective colors. The front ramp is fully functional and can be opened, recreating the boat's iconic feature. To hinge the ramp, a simple roulade needle is required, adding durability to the mechanism.
