This is a 2mm:1ft model of a GWR Loriot W, diagram G41, engineers' wagon. They also saw service on British Railways, British Rail (diagrammes 2/900 & 2/902) and on at least one preserved railway. This model is designed to accept N-gauge wheels on 14.8mm axles, Peco Parkside 6mm diameter metal tyred N-gauge wheels being one suitable option. Please be careful to minimise the 'flex' you apply to get them in, by checking that the pinpoint sockets are clean to begin with, and filing or deepening a narrow groove below them to let the second pinpoint on the axle drop in. If you overdo this, block the groove with a drop of soft glue (removable) so that the wheels don't fall out during handling.
