Gonggi Game *Personal Use*
Today's file is the Gonggi Game with a board, a traditional Korean game that has recently surged in popularity, thanks to its appearance in a well-known TV show.
Gonggi (공기놀이) is a classic children's game in Korea, often compared to the game of jacks. Traditionally, it is played with small stones or special plastic pieces, and it helps children develop hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and strategic thinking. The game involves tossing and catching the pieces in a specific sequence, progressing through different levels of difficulty.
While Gonggi is usually played on any flat surface, this version includes a board, which may add a structured playing field or additional challenges. The game is simple to learn yet requires skill and precision, making it enjoyable for players of all ages.
Due to its recent resurgence in media and pop culture, Gonggi has captured the interest of a new generation, both in Korea and internationally. Whether you're revisiting a childhood favorite or discovering it for the first time, this game offers a fun and engaging experience for everyone!
The game pieces are hollowed out so you can add weights to them. The lids snap on, but it can be a good idea to use a small amount of glue to secure them, so they don't come apart when playing with them.
