Giant Articulated Spider 2.0

This model is restricted by licensing terms.

This is a giant articulated spider that measures 50cm or 20” across when built but can be printed on a 240mm or larger bed. The legs are all articulated with click joints, so you can animate the spider however you want. The entire model is snap-together, no hardware fasteners or glue is required.

100% printed - no hardware, fasteners, or adhesives required. No additional support is required.

At full size, this thing must really be Giant. I printed at 60% and it still has 8x11 footprint.

If you print it small, consider changing the line width from 0.2 to 0.12 to better print the teeth. One other thing was when I used a different brand for the red vs. the black, I had to reprint the joint pieces 98.5% to get them to engage the clicker.

Thank you for the feedback

I don't see the eyes in the files. Did they get left out somehow?

Again, my apologies, I was travelling and just got back now. I have uploaded the eyes to the posting as an additional file.

Yes, I am so sorry. I missed including them. I will add them as soon as I can.

Nice model! Is there room inside the body for a servo motor and a linkage bar?

Great idea. Thank you. I did not consider that. It would be a great addition. If you can send me some info on a specific servo and what movement you would want to create I could explore the idea.
