The Panzerbeobachtungswagen Panther (Armored Observation Vehicle Panther) was a specialized artillery observation variant of the Panther tank. While historical accounts vary, most evidence suggests only one true prototype was completed in 1943, with a limited production run of roughly 41 units converted from older Panther Ausf. D chassis late in the war.
