I’ve always been a huge fan of the Outrun style: neon colors, retro-futuristic vibes, sunsets, mountains, and that classic 80s energy. For this design, I wanted to bring that aesthetic to the bottom of a shoe with a tread pattern that is both functional and fun.

The D7 Outrun tread features a stylized retro sunset, mountain peaks, and a bold grid-inspired pattern that ties the whole theme together. It is designed to provide plenty of grip while still standing out as something unique, recognizable, and full of personality.

This entry was created for the chance to win a pair of D7 shoes, and I wanted the tread to feel like something that could actually belong on a shoe while still having a strong visual theme. It is clean, bold, and unmistakably Outrun.
