Gridfinity Skeletonised Base (Reinforced) with screwholes

A redesign of the skeletonised Gridfinity base that I designed last week (which was itself a redesign of another design (see attribution))

This has been updated to remove the cut-out in the webbing, and adds a reinforcing rib as @Admorei had noted that the grid was warping when screwing it down- this design, while slightly heavier than my original design, follows the same goal of reducing material usage while also adding the ability to fix down the base with screws (I used 3.5mm x 20mm wood screws for this)

I have left the original design up just in case anyone is looking for an ultralight base with mounting holes :)

If anyone would like some more grid sizes uploaded, please let me know and I will add them as soon as possible.

Current Sizes available:

3x3 3x4 3x5 3x6 4x4 4x5 4x6 5x5 5x6 6x6

If you find this, or any of my other designs helpful - please consider Buying me a coffee to help cover the design time and materials used :)

would be awesome if there was a magnetic version too for magnetic bins. 2 magnets per bin slot would be enough i think.

These ultralight bases aren't really suited to magnets as they are too low profile - I will look into making a material saving mag base at some point though :)

Okay I think the new design is way better.

But when i put in a fourth screw in a baseplate it still tends to buckle with the last screw turn. Maybe the screw slots need to be a bit lower such that even a not fully screwed down screw will not interfere with the gridfinity bins abve, or I will just need to glue down the 4th corner instead of screwing it down. Thats not as elegant as I would wish but also a possibility.

I did make the screw tolerance a bit tight, and it's possible that the screws I have are slightly undersized. I will amend this and re-upload when possible (probably not this weekend as a lot on)

For those with 350mm print areas, it would be great to have up to 8x8 grid sizes!
