Hinged Glasses Case Style 1 Glasses case with print in place hinge. Includes a version with a recessed area for a felt or cork insert along with a stencil to use as a cutting guide for the insert.
Dimensions: When Closed Width: 95mm Height: 35mm Length: 182mm
Print Settings Glasses case does not require support. I recommend printing the included STEP file rather than the STL version to maintain accuracy and to use a slower printing speed. 15% infill 0.16 or 0.12 Layer Height recommended for this file

Hey.... did you manage to updated the hinges at all? keen to try it out :-)
Hi, I've added a new version to this download. Its labelled "Hinged Glasses Case Style 1 Higher Tolerance"
It's been tested and confirmed to work on a H2D and an X1C. Hopefully you have more luck with this version! Let me know how you go.
Hi…. Printed amazingly second time around.. hinges are perfect… sadly the clasp/clip snapped off first time I shut it lol…. I think it needs to be much shorter to avoid that…. I love the case though
Oh! Sorry to hear that! I didn’t have that issue on any of the prints I did. Let me have a look, I might be able to reinforce the clip a little. Glad to hear the hinge printed better!
HI, I've updated the file but haven't had a chance to test it yet. I'll try printing it tomorrow on a couple of different printers to confirm to see whether its easier to print.
So the file now works but the hinge just cracked as I tried to fold it shut… using a Creality k2 on the suggested settings
Hmm let me try playing with the dimensions a little. I intentionally made the tolerances quite tight so the hinge wouldn’t wobble when opened and closed but I’ll try increasing the tolerance a little which should make the file a little easier to print.
Thanks for the feedback!
I am getting file error no geometry data
Hi, I've reuploaded the STL files. Everything should be working now.
Hi, Thanks for letting me know. it looks like there was some issues with the STL files. The STEP files should all be working. I'll try reuploading the STL versions soon.
The design idea is great, but the hinge is too close to the case; it got stuck during printing and broke when I tried to open it. Also, I think the product is too thin for a glasses case; it wouldn't be possible for sunglasses to fit inside without difficulty.
Hi, sorry to hear your hinge didn't print properly! What type of printer are you using? I initially had some issues printing the hinge as well but was able to get the case to print perfectly by using a 0.12 layer height and the "fine" quality setting in Bambu studio. The tolerances are intentionally quite tight to ensure the hinge isn't too loose.
I'm using Bambu P1S, and unfortunately, I have the same sticking problem with the 0.12 as well. Also, the lid lock is very tight; it requires considerable force to open and close.
Hey, sorry to hear that. I haven't tried printing this file on a P1S yet. I'll give it a try this week and see if I can work out where the issue might be.
Are you using a 0.4 nozzle?

Yes I'm using a 0.4 nozzle.
