This pin is designed for the Flair 58 line of manual espresso machines. It replaces the small black plastic pin that holds the latching hook on the top of the cylinder. This print not only repairs your espresso machine if the pin is lost or damaged but also upgrades the machine, improving your espresso making experience! The original pin design attempts to use an o-ring for pin retention but this is not what o-rings are designed for and, predictably, it fails at the task quite frequently. My espresso routine used pushing the pin in to ensure it was properly seated before pulling a shot but not anymore! This new pin design WILL NOT COME LOOSE and it doesn't require an o-ring or anything extra! The trade-off is that it takes a bit more effort to install or remove which is well worth it considering I want that pin to stay put 99% of the time.

Just print it, remove the oem pin, replace with your newly printed pin and voila - you just effortlessly improved your Flair 58

This pin redesign worked so well the first time; I printed the prototype in some generic pink PETG (was already loaded up) and have been using the Flair 58 about 3 times / day, every day with the prototype pin for about 5 months now without it wiggling loose once!

PRINTING:

• For best results, use 0.2mm nozzle - this part is TINY for FDM printing!
• For the lazy/adventurous/broke folks that will run this with 0.4mm nozzle anyway - check the included 3mf for how to make that happen (basically just set line width much lower and pray it prints which will heavily depend on your machine, material choice, and print speeds)
• Print it 100% solid, it is so tiny and doesn't even use a gram of filament
