Description

Hey, This is my Gear Ring Fidget Toy. It is closely related to the Brain Gear.

You need: 12 Gears: 6 Long Connectors 12 Connectors

Print Settings: Standard. Use what works best for your Filament and printer. No supports.

Assembly: I made a Video on how to put it together. https://youtu.be/W9daDsvilrk It's quite simple. Connect 2 Gear Pieces with the Connectors. The Flat sites lign up. Use the holes on those Flat sites to connect 2 pieces with 2 connectors. Do that to all gear pieces. You end up with 6 Gears. Those 6 gears are then connected to form a ring with the long connectors. Use the Pictures as guidance.

Files Included: All Gear Connector Long Connector If any of these are missing, please contact me and I will fix it.

Technical Data: The Gear Ring takes, around 140g of Filament and 7 hours to print.

The Filament I used in the Pictures is: Protopasta Amesthyst Aria Multicolour.

Hello. I just printed one in PLA and the long connectors are too loose and easily fall out/disconnect. I also found that the gear balls moved/twisted slightly when the 2 halves placed together. I used a little glue on each one so I could put it together for a test one. I don't know if its something I have done or if there is a way to tighten it up a little?

Hey, Try printing them in another filament or scale them up if they are too small.

I lost some connectors during printing but it wont let me print just connectors. Could you make the print so its not all one block, so you can just print connectors.

Hey, I just added the connectors. Sorry, I did include them originally, but thangs sometimes does not upload stuff properly. My bad, I should have double-checked.
