For those who don’t wish to purchase a stainless steel tumbler insert, I’ve included an alternative container version with a thicker base and no hole in the bottom, suitable for decorative use.

When fitting the stainless steel tumbler, push it down as far as possible for a secure fit. The stainless steel insert is the drinking surface and should not be painted. Only the outer 3D-printed shell is intended to be painted.

If you plan to paint the exterior and use the tumbler for drinking, ensure the outer shell is properly sealed with craft resin. Use a straw when drinking, and hand wash only under running water. Do not soak, do not use detergents, and avoid prolonged water exposure.

Note: I’ve added a universal lid that works with all tumblers. The photo shows the lid sitting on the tumbler so you can see the fit.

Paint Used: Atelier Raw Umber as the undercoat, with Atelier Pale Gold dry-brushed for highlights. If you plan to use this as a drinking vessel, seal the painted surface with food-grade craft resin. If using it purely for food storage with the lid, any standard varnish can be used to seal the paint.
