Dragon Book Storage

This Dragon Book Storage model is a unique, book-shaped storage box with a dragon theme. The lid opens like a book cover, revealing a hidden compartment ideal for storing jewelry, keepsakes, D&D dice, or other small treasures—making it a fantastic gift for fantasy lovers!

Print Settings:

  • Supports: None needed. Ignore any slicer warnings about supports.
  • Infill: 15% (can be reduced if desired).
  • Print Orientation: Print in place, as shown in the images.
  • Size: Do not resize. For custom sizing, please contact me.

Assembly Requirements:

  • Magnets: Two 10mm x 2mm magnets are needed to secure the box and book cover.
  • Glue: Apply glue to affix the magnets in the slots provided and glue the box to the bottom cover.

The image shows the book storage model with a hand-painted finish.

Book Box internal height 33mm.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Paint First: Paint all parts before assembly for the best finish.
  2. Attach Magnets: Use super glue to secure the magnets in place.
  3. Glue the Box: Apply wood glue to attach the box to the bottom book cover.
  4. Secure with Tape: After gluing, close the lid and wrap the entire book with masking tape to hold it firmly while drying.

Allow to dry completely before handling.

Thanks! I have more designs coming soon… The next release will open in the middle, featuring a large dragon head—look for it in a day or two.

For painting, I used Raw Umber(Atelier) as the undercoat and dry-brushed Pale Gold(Atelier) on top. No need for perfection—the goal is to give the book box a worn, antique look.
