Upgrade Your Exterior Dryer Vent with a Clean, Functional Look

This 3D-printed square vent cover is designed to fit standard 4x4 inch exterior dryer vents, providing a clean finish that’s both functional and easy to maintain. Whether you’re a DIY homeowner or managing rental properties, this cover helps reduce debris buildup while improving curb appeal.

You will need access to a 3D printer and slicing software to use this file. The 3MF was created using a Bambu X1C but you can change the settings applied for other slicers or printers. No support is provided for the file or printing process.

Recommended material: PETG or ASA INFILL: Should be no lower that 25% using Cross hatch or gyroid LAYER HEIGHT: Between 0.1 and 0.24 (your choice) No Supports are required Nozzle: Works best with 0.4 Bed temp and hotend temp: Follow the filament manufactures guidance and calibrate as needed. Bed Size of 200x200 is recommended

IMPORTANT: This cover is designed specifically for outdoor use on 4x4" square vents only. It will not work with round, rectangle or indoor vent systems.

After trying retail options that require tools, can break easily, and are not durable in weather we had to design our own solution to stop birds and minimize lint collection. Note - this listing is for the vent cover only. The vent hood is not included.

After a fresh cleaning by a local service, we tested our Dryer Vent Protector by waiting for 1 full year with it installed. When the cleaning service returned they did not need to clean anything but the dryer itself. They recommended cleanings every two to three years going forward.

If you want to protect your vents from birds and other critters while maintaining unrestricted airflow (like normal vents with flaps and panels) then this part will work for you.

Once printed

1. Slide the vent protector onto your dryer vent from the bottom and into the slots on the top of the vent protector. Optional but not required: Use M3x5mm bolts in the holes right and left of the cover. Not all may be required for the best fit.

Disclaimer: If your dryer vent that you want the vent protector installed on is bent or warped out of normal shape this product should not be used to repair or bend the dry vent into shape. Using this part in this way may break either the existing cover or the printed part. Depending on the amount of damage to your vent the vent protector should not be used until the dryer vent shroud is repaired.
