COOKIE EGG! This design will work great for all the Dragons in the Cookie Dragons Series - including the past Gingerbread Dragon!

I am making this a Supporter Exclusive so it's available to everyone as we have a couple more Cookie Dragons come out in the future! Also comes with a .3MF Color File! I hope you all enjoy! :)

3D PRINTING SETTINGS

FDM Settings 3 walls 10-25% infill No supports Try brims if you have adhesion issues. Models tested between 60-100% generally

Resin Settings No supports, flat on plate 50 um layer thickness Light off delay can be helpful to let resin drip from links.

Proper bottom exposure tuning is recommended. Models, particularly in clear resins, can suffer from overexposure and fused links. The Ameralabs Town testing is highly recommended to tune your settings as to get proper articulated prints! Exposure varies greatly between resins, printers, and environments.

I love this egg!!! I went in search of a gingerbread egg to match my first (big) dragon (it's a gift) and stumbled across this (and all of Cinderwing's other awesome designs) and was sold! I did add some frosting to both halves and omitted the red for the bottom half to try to cut down on time.

I'm new to printing so first started the print at 100% but after a couple of layers, realized that would be way too big for my dragon (who also had baby tadlings that I discovered here in the meantime), so started over at 80%. This was probably still larger than I needed, even in adding the tadling, but is going to work perfectly for my needs (I'll add some easter grass to the bottom for the dragons to sit on).

Next, I decided to make 2 more eggs for gifting more of the tadlings, so printed at 50% and changed the red to white for the entire egg to cut down on time and waste. It's perfect!

Thank you for this wonderful egg!!

My kids and I absolutely love making these dragon eggs - I’m genuinely not sure who likes them more! We’ve done a lot of scaled down sizes since even at 60% the eggs are pretty large! The largest egg in the photos is a 50% scale and fits the baby dragons nicely. Once we jumped from 60 to 50 though we saw the locking threads get loose. So the 60% egg still has that satisfying click into place but the smaller scales lost that click. We wanted to do a lot of the smaller eggs for Easter so I tinkered with some settings until we came to a solution. In Bambu studios the setting is under quality, called XY hole compensation - I know other slicers have a similar function just called something different. I applied the setting to the top half of the egg to make the hole on the interior slightly smaller to fit more snugly on the bottom half, and it’s a very minute adjustment! I settled on -0.2mm on a 35% scaled egg and it’s now a perfect fit. Another printer might have slightly different tolerances so the number may change slightly but I just wanted to share it is possible to make these eggs lock nicely even at very small scales! We’ve even gone down to 30% successfully and they make the cutest homes for those tiny wyverns and other little critters kids love!

Great print! Made it to hold the matching Easter Cookie Dragon for my granddaughter for Easter. 60% in PLA on my Anycubic Kobra 3.

could you clarify the eggs to baby/adult ratio for me? I printed a baby cookie dragon at 70% and I'm trying to figure out what size I need to print the egg at. Thanks!

Katherine S

Sorry--I think I figured it out. lol So at a 1:1 ratio, I should also print the egg at 70%
