From that point on I carefully pried off the bed, rather than trying to just lift it by the neck, and that worked better. I also changed infill to 100%. 100% is probably not necessary, but 15% (the default on my printer) was a little low for such a thin neck.

Switching support types to trees made it VASTLY easier to remove the support.

Love this little sculpture -- and so does my son.

This was a fun first meaningful print to make on my Bambu X1C. Two notes that may be useful to other people: I straight up broke the first print I made of this, because the supports were more substantial and robust than the relatively thin neck of the dragon. So trying to pry the sculpture off the bed (and holy cow, is the Bambu default bed really really really sticky to PLA) by levering it off by the head/neck resulted in an obvious in hindsight decapitation of the sculpture.
