Mystical Egg Lamp
This egg lamp incorporates the use of several different types of lamp and even includes a step file so you can design your own custom light adapter that works with the egg.
While the egg is very large, it should fit on a 220x220 build plate. However, the egg stand included will require a 250x250 build plate to print it.
Update July 13, 2025: Added alternative Stand v2.stl which requires less filament and is more minimalistic.
In the photos, I was using an RGB light puck from Bambu Lab that cycles through all the colors. In the last photo, you'll see what the egg looks like with the light off. I used Polymaker Starlight Nebula. I believe most opaque filaments should work with the lamp. Obviously, the darker the filament, the dimmer the light will be.
About the files Egg Plug_E27.stl is a plug that incorporates the use of a lamp cord that fits a full sized light bulb. An example lamp cord can be found here.
Egg Plug_Remote Light.stl is a plug that utilizes a light kit from Bambu Lab.
Egg Plug_Plugin Light.stl is a plug that utilizes a corded light kit from Bambu Lab.
Egg.stl (Not Recommended) doesn't require supports. However, it will have a circle shadow at the top of it in order to allow bridging when printed.
Egg v2.stl (Recommended) will require supports for the top of the egg to print properly.
Stand.stl has a hole through it so you can route any cords for whatever light you wish to use.
Printing Instructions: The 3mf file provided was created using Bambu Studio and should already have the following settings configured.
