Obi-Wan's Dual Extrusion Lightsaber

Obi-Wan Kenobi Collapsible Lightsaber Dual Extrusion Version

This version of the lightsaber is designed to be printed in two colors on a dual extrusion printer. The hilt has a screw on cap so the blades can be printed separately then inserted or replaced. External supports are not required but there are some built in supports for the buttons, be sure to remove them after printing. The blades can be printed all at once concentrically or individually in vase mode.

Find detailed instructions on how to print collapsing swords on my website.

Note: Assembly model for reference only.

Hi, love the design, just wondering if you have Obi-Wan's other saber?

does the black parts of the hilt have built in supports so you can pretty much print as is or do i have to add custom supports

If I understand your question correctly, this model is designed to be printed in a dual extrusion type printer like a; Idex, MMU, Tool Changer. Printing the parts separately, will not work.

No, you just need to select "spiral outside Contour" or otherwise known as "Vase mode" in your slicer. Also turn on/off top and bottom layers as required.

what slicer are you using for the vase mode blades because i am having a problem with getting them to catch. in prusa slicer it i can't find where to change line width. and in cura i must be missing something because i can't get vase mode to work right. Please advise on how to do this. thank you for your help
