Darth Maul’s Lightsaber Dual Extrusion SaberPlug Version

This version of the lightsaber is designed to be printed in two colors on a dual extrusion printer. The hilt with a screw on cap so the blades can be printed separately then inserted or replaced. There is a cap to retain the blade in each lightsaber so they can be used separately or together with a screw on connector. The buttons print out separately and are glued (aff) on to locators. The blades can be printed all at once concentrically or individually in vase mode.

This version is Saber Plug compatible! This is a print-in-place spring-loaded cap that is printed separately to retain the blades when not in use. The cap positivity locks onto a groove on the ID of the hilt.

I am having overhang issues printing the hilt. I print using a bambu lab p1s. all the other light sabers come out fine so far. any suggestions on overhang issues?

Really that's weird, what part is causing you issues? Feel free to find the FB group or Discord to post some pictures.

I was printing the first blade in vase mode, and for some reason it gets really wavy towards the top. I have top and bottom layers on, 0.9 layer height, and vase mode turned on. It looks great until it gets to about 10 minutes left, Ive slowed it down, but the problem persists. Any suggestions? The rest of the blades printed flawlessly, the sword looks amazing!

What type of printer do you have? Is it all the blades? If its not cooling, I've heard this happening on a bed slingers before.

Its just the tip of the sword. All the other blades look amazing, its just that last one thats throwing it off. I have an elegoo 4 plus. It's cooling, I just can't think of what would be causing the problem. I just realized this is the dual extrusion version, im having the problem printing it on the single extrunder version

If its the last blade I would think its just a cooling issue. Try slowing it way down.
