the Psychlopath Puzzle

the Psychlopath Puzzle

This maddening puzzle features 3 inter-looping tracks that twist together, jumbling up 36 marbles in 6 different colors. As usual, the goal is to get all the like colors touching… but with these mind-crunching curves and more marbles than ever, don’t expect the Psychlopath to be a walk in the park. Every time you twist the halves, you’re affecting all 3 loops, and the tangled form alone is enough to drive unprepared puzzlers insane. So, are you crazy enough to give it a shot?

This puzzle is designed for use with 14mm balls or marbles. The download includes an 13.8mm version, which I've used with these 14mm No Hole Acrylic Beads (they're actually slightly undersized). I also like these Chinese Checkers Marbles--for these I use the '13.8mm' version included.

The 14mm version works for balls that are actually 14mm. Works well for standard 9/16" glass marbles.

The puzzle also uses six 3mm x 6mm neodymium magnets. N52 get the best snap, but cheaper magnets will also work fine. (eBay N35, Amazon)

I glue them in place with E6000 adhesive.

Standard print settings should work well. I like a 0.16mm layer height. This can technically print without supports, but some minimal supports for the arches helps get a clean print (see example in photos).

PLA is generally good, though I print the clip with ABS for strength.
