Multi-Part Collapsing Zanpakuto

Collapsing Zanpakuto Single Extruder Multi-Part Version

This version of the sword has been broken into different parts so they can be printed separately in different colors then glued together. The cap is not glued on but is removable by squeezing its sides, the blades then can be printed separately then inserted or replaced.

Supports are not required, for best results use a .4mm nozzle. You can print the blades all at once concentrically or one at a time in vase mode. Find detailed instructions on how to print collapsing swords on my website. I used Gorilla Glue (aff.) to glue mine together.

I got the extra colors with manual filament swaps. Warning, the wrap has a much steeper angle than I normally design for. To get a good result, print it slow and at a low layer height, I used .15mm. The chain is a little hard to print, make sure you use a brim. I also had to print a little slower at a lower layer height to keep it from getting knocked over.

Printed on the Mulcore rep-rap IDEX printer.
