With the help of a Zigbee Aqara Window/Door sensor and a small magnet, you can get the status of your deadbolt in Home Assistant.

I wanted to show the status of my door locks in Home Assistant without having to buy expensive smart locks which depend on cloud services. All I really want see is if the door is locked/unlocked. With a small magnet (6mm x 2mm) glued to this adapter and an Aqara Door/Window sensor, I am able to display the status of my deadbolt lock in Home Assistant.

This worked for me and my home setup. Hope this helps others find something that works for them.
