Introducing 'Fluidix' 

Where simplicity meets sophistication. This collection features sleek, fluid-shaped designs seamlessly blending into daily life. With a minimalist aesthetic, Fluidix adds a touch of modern elegance to any contemporary space.

The spherical vase with a spout offers a contemporary twist on traditional vessel designs. Its sleek lines and subtle curves create a striking silhouette, perfect for showcasing single stems or delicate blooms, exuding elegance and charm.

In contrast, the teardrop-shaped vase embraces organic beauty with graceful curves and gentle tapering. Rounding out the collection are two vases with a half-hourglass shape, offering a modern twist on a classic design. Versatile and stylish, they're ideal for displaying flowers or as standalone sculptural pieces.

Simply scale the 3D model in your slicer for desired application. Printing using "fuzzy" mode adds texture and hides layer lines prominent in 3D printed parts.

Fluidix Series

It can be a struggle at times to keep plants alive, airplants offer a great alternative. As they are extremely easy to keep healthy and require very minimum upkeep. With this in mind, I decided to design some custom geometric planters specifically for airplants and other plants that don't require conventional watering. This design consists of 3 small Icosahedron planters and 1 large Icosahedron planter.

Dimensions (H x W x D): 68mm x 80mm x 84mm (large) & 45mm x 53mm 56mm (small).

Problem Statement ⚠️

I really enjoy planting and growing succulents, although I've noticed it is difficult to find planters that I like for a reasonable price. So I set out on a mission to leverage my printer's capabilities to solve this problem. But I didn't just stop at 3D printing, I wanted these planters to be something that would stand the test of time. So I decided to convert the relatively strong 3D printed components into lasting rigid concrete ones.

When I started the design of this project I wanted to have the ability to quickly rearrange the planters and pavers to create different layouts. I achieved this modularity by sub-dividing the base shape which was an elongated hexagon into 3 unique shapes. The main shape is a pentagon, which has three different configurations, depending on the application of that component. For example, if you wanted to create a vertical stack-up, you would start with a base planter and then add as many hollow planters as you would like. Because these shapes are derived from the base elongated hexagon, they can be added in a repeating pattern to create new and unique shapes.

A custom-built tool organizer, designed to be installed between the linear modules on the Snapmaker 2.0 A250 or A350 model. Although this system could also be implemented on other printers given the necessary spatial requirements are met.

I frequently found myself needing to access the same set of tools, hardware, and accessories while working with my Snapmaker A250. Which got me thinking, why not design an integrated drawer system with custom foam cutouts. Helping to alleviate my problem, and giving me quick access to these key components.

Design Context ⚙️

I started this design by down-selecting the critical tools, hardware, and accessories I wanted to store within the drawer. From there I began arranging them as efficiently as possible with the limited space I had. I quickly realized that I would need a two-tier system in order to fit all the components. 

So I decided to design a quick detach insert that is held in place via magnets just above the lower foam organizer. Giving me space to hold a 14mm and 17mm wrench. As well as the two variations of M4x10 screws used during the transition from the 3D printing bed to the laser cutting bed. The ability to quickly remove the insert provides access to the lower tier of components and functions as a portable carrier for the screws.
