'Tis almost the season for gift cards which means you need to find fun things to put them in! This 3D printed box might be just what you're looking for:) It comes complete with a pixel fidget tree, a spot for a gift card and a cheesy pun 👊🏼

3D Printing Instructions:

  • PLA Basic recommended for the fidget tree*

  • Layer Height 0.2mm

  • Infill 10-15%

  • Supports needed under tab at end of tree and for the box lid

  • Brims may be needed when printing the bottom of the box and lid to prevent warping

*Note: Basic PLA is the best for printing the fidget tree. I don’t recommend PLA Silk or PLA Matte filaments. This is detailed (on the inside) and the tolerances are small. I printed several of these in these three types of filaments and Basic PLA always printed the best and had smoother “movement” when done.

To assemble the tree, slide the trunk over the peg at the bottom of the tree. (You can add some super glue if you'd like:)

The lid of the box requires supports and I added brims to both the lid and the bottom of the box to prevent warping.

I have included a 3mf file with the following print profiles: Print Plate #1 (pixel tree): one color, supports under tab at end Print Plate #2 (trunk cap); one color Print Plate #3 (box of bottom): two colors, brim added Print Plate #4 (lid of box): three colors, supports under lid, brim added

Have fun printing!
