The Rail - Sanding Disc Bins
A modular storage system for standard 5" sanding discs that mounts to your wall! Each bin can swivel and can be labeled using printer paper. Tracing templates are included so you can cut out the exact size needed for your labels.
More bin options can be found here.
Assembly (also shown in video):
- Slide the bins onto the rod
- Sandwich everything together using the top and bottom wall brackets
- Insert the keyhole marker into the keyhole slots
- Firmly press against wall in desired location and the keyhole markers will make an indent where you need to drill
- Drill holes using a 3/16" drill bit
- Insert wall anchors and screws (#8 - #10 x 1" screws and anchors)
- Make sure the screw head is sticking out just far enough to tightly fir the wall bracket. If it's too loose, tighten the screw incrementally until it's a tight fit.
- Attach whole assembly to the wall
There are 5 different rod sizes. The largest fits 7 large bins or 14 small ones. The smallest rod fits 3 bins or 6 small ones. The small bins are half the height of the large bins. So if you're using the rod for 3 bins and you want to use some small bins, you could use 2 smalls and 2 larges.
There are two bin sizes, small and large.
Supports None needed!
Scaling I wouldn't recommend scaling this one since the screw holes are designed specifically for #8 - #10 x 1" anchors and screws.
Orientation Everything prints with its flattest side on the build plate.
Print Settings .2mm layer height 15% grid infill 2 walls
